In a bizarre collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
